I am, in fact, not dead. I'm not really watching any American TV at the moment, with the exception of Glee, which I find a) wonderfully snarky; b) irritatingly earnest; and c) amazing any time they give Artie, Tina, Puck or Kurt more than one line in an episode.

So, the last two weeks have really all been about a) critiquing German literature post-1945 and b) the Gothenburg Film Festival. And I actually have something to say about two (!) films this year:

· I'm so ridiculously pleased that Das Leben der Anderen won best Foreign Language Film that I forgot to feel robbed on behalf of Pan's Labyrinth.
